What societal divisions can our parks help bridge? How can we use community engagement to help reduce polarization, loneliness, and prejudice?
Discussion leaders will spark dialogue and reflection on the role of parks in fostering intergroup contact, and participants will share their experiences with projects that bring together neighbors from historically divided groups. Participants will discuss how to apply best practices, lessons learned, and compelling storytelling to apply similar approaches in different settings.
