Join a City Parks Alliance Board Member and fellow attendees on an informal walk to a local park. While this is not a guided tour of a specific park, it’s an opportunity to connect and learn more about City Parks Alliance, meet Alliance Board Members, and network with other Greater & Greener participants while getting some fresh air and seeing the local parks.
Check out the newly rebuilt Waterfront Park Promenade and hear from key players in its development as they talk through the ambitious efforts that led to 20 acres of new public space along the Elliott Bay shoreline. We will also talk about how Tribal Councils were engaged in the park’s development to honor the area’s past as a fishing village, a center for trade, and a place through which many different tribal communities traveled. The total distance for this walk is about 2.4 miles or about 16 minutes each way.
Please note: This is a rain-or-shine event unless there is inclement weather. Bring your reusable water bottle and sunscreen.
