Cayce James is a strategic advisor at Seattle’s Office of Planning and Community Development, where they lead an interdepartmental program, Outside Citywide. This program aims to create an equitable, innovative, and integrated citywide public space system that fosters community and environmental health and well-being.
Through data-informed approaches, Outside Citywide identifies priority areas for new investments, addressing historic inequities and ensuring equitable access to the benefits of public space. Cayce works to center community leadership and bridge across agency silos to envision and co-create neighborhoods and urban systems that promote environmental and climate justice and health equity.
