Building on 20 years of experience, Charlie works with a variety of public park agencies and nonprofit parks organizations on a range of projects including research, organizing, funding, agreements, operations and maintenance, volunteer programs and a wide variety of programming efforts. Prior to becoming a full-time consultant, Charlie was Executive Director of the Austin Parks Foundation (2005-2012), Director of Public Programs at the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, worked as a fellow during graduate school at the Municipal Art Society and New Yorkers for Parks, and served as the Director of the Center for City Park Excellence at the Trust for Public Land. Charlie lives in the Boston area, volunteers regularly in parks and public spaces, and serves as vice-chair on the board of directors for Friends of the Middlesex Fells Reservation, a 2300 acre state natural area located just north of Boston.
