Dana McDonald is experienced in applied environmental science in an urban environment. As Environmental Stewardship Coordinator at the Vancouver Park Board, she performs her work as an uninvited guest on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tseil-Waututh Peoples. Dana is responsible for advancing urban wildlife management initiatives, evaluating possibilities for improved ecological conditions in urban parks, supporting the implementation of community-driven restoration, food-growing, and stewardship projects, and engaging with the public on these topics.
Dana is trained in physical geography, watershed management works to combine this technical training with planning education and practice. Dana is passionate about making the city a place where people can thrive.
