Jeffrey Clark

Senior Manager of Applied Climate Research at Natural Areas Conservancy

Jeff is deeply interested in how natural spaces function within urban landscapes. At the Natural Areas Conservancy, he focuses on understanding the impact of climate change on urban natural areas and their potential in mitigating its effects. Prior to joining the Natural Areas Conservancy, Jeff worked as a researcher for the Central Arizona-Phoenix Long Term Ecological Research Project and served as the assistant director for the Phoenix Area Social Survey.

He holds a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Rice University and a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Rutgers University. Jeff’s diverse research background ranges from studying residents’ perceptions of natural areas to exploring how urban forests contribute to biodiversity conservation.
