Lara is a Principal at Walker Macy, a landscape architecture, urban design, and planning firm that specializes in public projects. Lara has led the design of award-winning projects throughout the country including downtown parks, waterfronts, and gardens; urban design and campus projects; and sites that support culture and education. She has specific expertise in the design and programming of city parks and civic spaces, with a keen understanding of the elements that help them function successfully.
Lara has guided the success and growth of Walker Macy’s Seattle office since 2014 and has been actively engaged in Seattle’s design community, serving on professional and academic advisory boards over the years. She is a thoughtful leader of interdisciplinary teams and collaborates closely with clients to develop meaningful places for their communities.
Lara holds a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
