Since 2016, Shelly has led the Ecological Services Team at Eugene Parks and Open Space in Eugene, Oregon. This team plans for and implements habitat enhancement and restoration projects across 4,500 acres of natural area in the Eugene Park System.
Shelly has a master’s degree in Ecology and Evolution from the University of Pittsburgh and prior to her work with Eugene Parks and Open Space worked for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Virginia Department of Wildlife, The Nature Conservancy, and West Virginia Department of Natural Resources.
Like many parks professionals, Shelly enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family.
